Love this place. You order off the menu instead of waiting for carts which is good because you can get exactly what you want without the wait. All of the staff speak good english which is helpful. The staff is also very friendly. The food is the highlight though. Fresh, not loaded with MSG and soo tasty. My kids love the shrimp cheung fun, sticky rice and beef short ribs...try both the pepper and korean style ones. Both are fantastic. Cant wait to go back!

Still as good as always. Came for some dim sum a couple of days ago and the service is quick as usual, staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Still the #1 dim sum spot for my family

Not bad for a dimsum place! Went on a Saturday around 11am and there wasn't much of a lineup so that was a plus. Most other dimsum places have such a long line and make going to dimsum very difficult when you're hungry. Contrary to popular belief, no line doesn't mean bad food! The dimsum dishes they served was quite fresh. Some of the dishes aren't as crunchy or salty as other dimsum places, but it's satisfying enough to fill your dimsum cravings.
The egg tarts at this place are a MUST. These egg tarts were so fluffy and warm. There's something about the flavor of it that stands out against other dimsum egg tarts--and I eat A LOT of egg tarts, believe me.

Price is reasonable, but food is average and the decor can use a fresher. The ceiling is a little low so while there were few customers, it seem like the restaurant was filled with people and the room was noisy. The most memorable dish was the fried rice. It had the wok hay smell and taste. I hear dim sum is good and reasonably priced.

Food 3 stars. Overall 3.5 stars.
I am quite happy with a dining experience at Fisherman Villa Restaurant.
We dined at Fisherman Villa on a weekday evening. The restaurant was not busy, with only a few tables of customers. We were greeted, seated and served with tea promptly. We ordered a steamed bass fish dish (1.5lb at $19/lb) and a chicken with vegetable dish ($11.50). The chicken was quite good: good flavour, beautifully plated, well portioned. The steamed fish was made from a live fish (many restaurants would steam a fresh dead fish). It was over cooked. I still found it enjoyable because the sauce was delicious.
The services was wonderful: Servers were *extremely* friendly and chatty. There were free starter soup and dessert. Used plates were promptly replaced. Tea pot was promptly refilled.
Fisherman Villa is a neighourhood restaurant that is suitable for regular family dining out. Pricing appears to be lower than other restaurants of similar class (mid-range). I would likely return because the overall offerings (selections, food, services, prices, location) are suitable for our family.
